Le Tour July

Here are just a few photos from the Tour when it came here.
We went to the Skipton Canal Festival prior to the Grand Depart. It was so amazing to see how much trouble Yorkshire folk went to to celebrate the Tour.

These photos were taken on the day the Tour came over Woodhead Pass.

Part of what is known as "The Caravan" which precedes the cyclists. The lack of spectators here is quite unusual because the crowds all along the route were AMAZING!

                                                              The Breakaway group.

                                               The Peloton.

View from the Pass towards Emley Moor mast. The white 'objects' in the fields on the right is a very large design celebrating the Tour. Similar were seen all over Yorkshire.
